ESTABLISHMENT
Established in 1977 as a tuna processor, Thai Union Public Company Limited (TU) began its journey in the seafood industry by focusing on ambient seafood products. Over the years, TU diversified into Frozen and PetCare businesses, broadening the portfolio to meet evolving market demands.
1977
Founded in 1977 by Mr. Kraisorn Chansiri and Mr. Cheng Niruttinanon, Thai Union Manufacturing Company Limited began with canned tuna production and exports. Production later expanded at the Samut Sakhon factory to include ambient seafood and pet food products under Thai Union Manufacturing (TUM).

1981
Thai Union established Songkla Canning Company Limited (SC) in 1981 to produce ambient seafood and tuna products. In 1989, the company pivoted to pet food production. In September 2021 the business was rebranded as i-Tail Corporation Public Company Limited (ITC), becoming Thai Union’s flagship PetCare business.
1988
Thai Union Frozen Products Public Company Limited (TUF) was founded in 1988, marking the company’s entry into the frozen seafood business.
1994

Exchange of Thailand (SET)
Thai Union was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand under its former name, Thai Union Frozen Products Public Company Limited (TUF).


2015
Thai Union rebranded from Thai Union Frozen Products Public Company Limited (TUF) to Thai Union Group (TU).
2021
Since 2000, Thai Union Feedmill has been the core of the group’s aquaculture feed business, producing shrimp, seabass, and fish feed. In 2021, the company completed a successful public offering and was listed on the SET.
2022
The company was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) in the agricultural and food industry category. The listing marked one of the largest initial public offerings in the food and beverage sector in the Thai stock market.
