Sustainability & CSR
BANGKOK, Sept. 28, 2026 – Thai Union Group PCL, a global seafood leader, has continued its support for the 28th Bangkok’s International Festival of Dance & Music through the Student Outreach Program, giving more than 120 students opportunities to experience international arts and culture, learn beyond the classroom, and draw inspiration from live performances.
Thiraphong Chansiri, President and CEO of Thai Union Group, said, “Investing in people is a long-term commitment, and I believe some of the most valuable learning happens beyond the classroom. Exposure to international arts and culture can broaden students’ horizons, introduce them to different perspectives, and help them discover their own potential. As a longstanding supporter of Bangkok’s International Festival of Dance & Music, Thai Union is proud to help make these experiences available to young people. We believe that opportunities like these can help shape the leaders and changemakers of tomorrow.”
Thai Union arranged for 80 students and teachers from Wat Srisuttharam School and Watsamakkeesattharam School in Samut Sakhon to attend “Alice in Wonderland” by Wings Show Production at the Main Hall of the Thailand Cultural Centre. The group also had the honor of welcoming Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana upon Her Majesty’s arrival. The production combines acrobatics, circus arts and dance in a story about courage, overcoming obstacles and believing in one’s own potential.
Her Majesty the Queen graciously attended the performance alongside school and university students, young people from underserved communities, and people with disabilities from across Thailand. The occasion was a valuable and memorable experience for all those in attendance.
Thai Union also extended its support to students from the Center for Arts and Culture at Siam University, who attended New York City Opera: Opera Goes to Hollywood on Sept. 5, 2026, and to students from the Faculty of Arts at Chulalongkorn University, who attended Romeo & Juliet by Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus on Sept. 10, 2026. Altogether, more than 120 school and university students participated in this year’s program with Thai Union’s support.
Sanya Somprasong, Acting Director of the Center for Arts and Culture at Siam University, said, “We thank Thai Union for giving our students and faculty the opportunity to experience international performances. These experiences will enrich the teaching and learning of art, music and culture at the university, while helping our students continue to develop their own potential.”
Thai Union has supported Bangkok’s International Festival of Dance & Music for many years, helping young people in Thailand gain access to international arts and culture while encouraging learning beyond the classroom. The company believes that broadening young people’s horizons and giving them opportunities to learn through firsthand experience are important foundations for the sustainable development of people and society.
