Thai Union Announces Sale of The Edinburgh Salmon Company to Loch Duart

8 June 2020, Bangkok - Today, Thai Union Group PCL (Thai Union) has announced that its Scottish subsidiary, The Edinburgh Salmon Company Ltd. (ESCo) has sold its fish processing facility to Loch Duart, the Sutherland and Uists-based producer of farmed salmon.

In 2018, Thai Union took the decision to close the facility due to highly challenging market conditions and industry trends and, since then, has been involved in the process of finding a buyer for the plant.

We are pleased that the facility will begin production again under its new owners and wish Loch Duart every success in its future operations in Dingwall.
