GLOBAL CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
We ensure that the right individuals are assigned to suitable positions and actively encourage everyone to advance their careers at Thai Union. Our global operations embrace the practice of Internal Job Rotation, allowing employees to broaden their horizons and gain valuable experiences by working in different locations. This initiative promotes career advancement opportunities and facilitates the acquisition of diverse skill sets. Additionally, we have implemented a Voluntary Internal Job Rotation scheme, which welcomes employee with suitable experience and qualifications to apply for job rotations, enabling them to explore new roles within the organization.
GLOBAL TALENT DEVELOPMENT
On a global corporate level, our “Thai Union Academy” focuses on executive leadership development, future skills, and optimization tools such as “Agile” and Transformation. This function also supports the regional L&D teams with programs so there is a consistent learning experience for all. In addition, this function supports the learning development of “SPACE-F”, Asia’s first Startup Incubator and Accelerator focused on Food-Tech.
Due to our focus on growing and developing our leaders from within, Thai Union has launched its leadership programs:
“LeadTUGrow”: This intensive 6-month program equips senior managers with industry-leading skills, covering areas such as strategy execution, personal effectiveness, and leadership. The program was launched in July 2021, initially targeting local corporate office leaders, and now expand to include global leaders in 2022. The participants selected for this program are individuals identified as having the potential to assume executive-level positions within the next 5 years. The program is built on three distinct pillars:
- Strategic mindset and execution
- Leading Oneself
- Leading Teams and communities
As part of this program, all participants have created strategic projects that have been validated by the CEO. Additionally, each individual develops their own personal development plan, which helps them track their leadership journey and make progress on the areas highlighted as part of their executive development.
"FLY" Program (Future Leader (is) You): This program focuses on developing local talents in Thailand, ranging from Assistant Section Manager to Department Manager levels. The program provides intensive training and culminates in a project that requires collaboration across different functions to create measurable impact.
"Management Associate Program" or MA: We are hiring high-potential candidates and developing them to be future leaders by exposing them to cross-functional work within Thailand and overseas. This program challenges participants beyond their boundaries, providing them with dynamic team experiences and mentorship from senior leaders and executives at Thai Union."
TOTAL PRODUCTIIVE Maintenance PROGRAMs
The Total Productive Maintenance program (TPM) is an annual training initiative conducted in Thailand with the objective of enhancing work processes. This program is open to all employees, providing them with the opportunity to learn essential concepts, tools, problem-solving techniques, and continuous improvement processes. By participating in this program, employees embark on a journey where they acquire valuable skills and knowledge.
Throughout the program, participants have developed the ability to collaborate effectively within groups, leveraging ideas from discussions, and honing their critical thinking abilities. They have gained a holistic understanding of their respective functions, enabling them to identify areas for improvement and generate innovative solutions. This comprehensive approach has empowered employees to assess their tasks more effectively and contribute to the overall enhancement of the organization's operations.
