Thai Union’s Strategy 2030 delivers record Q3 sales of THB 35.7 billion while gross profit margin again exceeds 20%
Business & Finance

BANGKOK – November 2, 2026 – Thai Union Group PCL today reported third-quarter sales of THB 35.7 billion, an increase of 3.4% year-on-year, marking three consecutive quarters of growth. Profitability strengthened further, with operating profit increasing 16.2% to THB 2.1 billion and gross profit margin reaching 20.4%. This marked the second consecutive quarter above 20%, reinforcing Thai Union’s progress toward its full-year guidance. Net profit increased 3.2% year-on-year to THB 1.35 billion.
These results reflect Thai Union’s ability to navigate a challenging global environment through the disciplined execution of Strategy 2030. Despite higher energy, freight and raw-material costs and pressure on consumers from inflation, Thai Union continued to grow sales of higher-value products while improving productivity and delivering cost savings.
Thiraphong Chansiri, President and CEO of Thai Union Group, said: “Our third-quarter performance shows continued progress in strengthening Thai Union’s core business and improving profitability. We delivered some of our strongest sales ever and maintained our gross profit margin above 20% for a second consecutive quarter. This reflects the disciplined execution of Strategy 2030, including continued investment in our brands and premiumization, streamlining production, and capturing synergies across the group.”
Strategy 2030 Strengthens the Core Business
Ambient branded sales increased 6.9% year-on-year, supported by investment in marketing, new formats, refreshed packaging and brand positioning. Thai Union continued to expand King Oscar’s premium portfolio in the U.S. and develop Parmentier as a premium brand, alongside brand revitalization across key markets.
Innovative products—such as Thai Union’s unique pulled tuna—leveraged the global capabilities of the group, with the new format launching under five European brands. Together, these initiatives support growth in higher-value products and stronger margins in the group’s core business.
i-Tail Corporation Public Company Limited also announced the acquisition of Phelps Pet Products, a U.S.-based manufacturer of premium pet treats and snacks, for approximately USD 160 million or THB 5.3 billion. Thai Union Feedmill Public Company Limited established Thai Union Feedmill Ecuador S.A.S. to invest in an aquaculture-feed facility in Ecuador. These investments selectively extend Thai Union’s capabilities in attractive growth categories and strengthen its presence across the Americas.
On Track for a Strong 2026
Thai Union enters the final quarter of 2026 with solid momentum. For the first nine months, sales increased 4.0% year-on-year, and gross profit margin reached a nine-month record of 20.0%, while earnings per share rose 7.8% to THB 0.97.
Thai Union is also sharpening how it deploys capital, prioritizing investment in areas with the strongest potential returns, actively managing working capital and optimizing its financing. Sustainability remains integrated into these decisions, including through the company’s use of blue financing, aligning its financial strategy with its long-term sustainability ambitions.
