Thai Union launches ChangeTer, a line of kidney-friendly cat treats

The move reinforces the company’s commitment to ‘healthy living’ for people and their pets

7 December 2020, BANGKOK – As the health and nutrition of pets becomes increasingly important to consumers, Thai Union, the world’s seafood leader, has introduced ChangeTer, its latest liquid cat treats that are kidney-friendly, highly nutritious and extremely beneficial to the well-being of our furry friends.

The ongoing global Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in a surge in pet adoptions as people are spending more time at home, along with the demand for healthy and nutritious pet food comparable to their own. The launch of ChangeTer is one way that Thai Union is responding to the fact that many people are now spending more family time cooking and playing with their domestic pets.

And now, with the introduction of the delicious and kidney-healthy ChangeTer line of products – formulated by a nutritionist to ensure the best taste and nutritional benefits - giving your beloved feline friends treats will not be a guilty pleasure anymore.

“Studies show that kidney disease is one of the leading causes of death in cats. Many cat owners have the same requirements for the quality, nutritional and health benefits as we do for ourselves and our human family,” said Pichitchai Wonpiya, President, Global PetCare, Thai Union Group PCL. “So we are working hard every day to remove that worry for pet lovers when choosing liquid treats.”

ChangeTer comes in 5 different formulas that help digestion, skin and coat, joint and bone, and stress reduction. The fifth formula is a mix of the abovementioned four. ChangeTer is now available at leading pet shops and via the Facebook page: Changeter

“Thai Union’s commitment to helping animals across Thailand extends beyond just providing healthy, kidney-friendly treats like ChangeTer. We are running a charity program to help stray and sick animals at hospitals and shelters in Thailand. So part of the sales of ChangeTer will go to help these animals. A donation will be made to a different hospital/shelter every quarter,” Wongpiya said.

Thai Union currently provides Bellotta-Marvo branded pet food for cats and dogs here in Thailand, as well as globally to other pet-care brands. Its Bangkok-based Global Innovation Center also has a dedicated team focused on food research and development for our furry friends.

As the world’s seafood leader with internationally renowned brands like King Oscar, John West, Chicken of the Sea, Petit Navire, Mare Blu and SEALECT Tuna, Thai Union also remains committed to ‘healthy living and healthy oceans,’ through its ongoing focus on health, wellbeing and sustainability.
