BANGKOK – August 3, 2021 - Thai Union Group is providing food products at reduced prices to local communities as part of the government’s ‘Blue Flag scheme’ to support Thai people during the COVID-19 pandemic. SEALECT mackerel and tuna chili paste canned products are being distributed to local grocery shops that are also part of the program.

“Thai Union is pleased to be working with the Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce to support this important initiative. Being involved with this program allows Thai Union to offer healthy and nutritious food to Thai people during these incredibly difficult times, as part of our goal to support ‘healthy living’ within the local community while also working for ‘healthy oceans’ for the planet,” said Saran Rattanarungruengchai, General Manager – Emerging Markets at Thai Union. “Our healthy, delicious and nutritious SEALECT mackerel in tomato sauce, which contains omega 3, EPA, DHA, vitamin C and D, is available at all ‘blue flag’ grocery shops at a special price. SEALECT is also the first branded product to receive the blue flag program logo on the can,” added Rattanarungruengchai.
