Prof. (Emeritus) Amaret Bhumiratana, Ph.D.
Amaret Bhumiratana is current a member of The Royal Society of Thailand. He was a former Director of The Royal Golden Jubilee, Ph.D Program, Thailand Research Fund.
During his career, Amaret’s main interests have been in commercialization of research findings in the areas of microbial controls of insect pests and of food fermentation. He published more than 80 articles in peer review journals.
Amaret was a member of the academic staff at Mahidol University’s Faculty of Science from 1974 to 2010. During his tenure, he also served as an Executive Vice President of the university and Dean of the Faculty of Science.
He has received a number of awards from Thailand and overseas institutions.
Amaret graduated with Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Davis, and a Ph.D. from Michigan State University.
